These are sound design excerpts from some of our favorite animated projects. The great thing about sound designing for animation is that almost nothing is provided, and you can design entire worlds from scratch. The type of sound design used depends on factors like the animation style, the tone of the story, and the intended audience.

While there is a lot of variety in this category, much of this sound design for animation tends to be tonal, bridging the gap between music and the more literal sounds of actions happening on screen. Quirky, creative and fantastical sounds are often employed. The most important thing is that the sound design is in service of the story, supporting and enhancing the emotions established by the visuals.
