The teaser for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf was an opportunity to craft the most gripping spot possible in eleven short seconds. In it, a sculpture of a wolf’s head dissolves into a ghastly skull. To compliment this sense of crumbling decay, we used the sounds of cracking ice. As light glimmers across the wolf’s silvery head, we hear the metallic sound of a sword being pulled from its scabbard. Beneath it all, howling winds and a droning distorted guitar add a subtle sense of foreboding. Taken together, these elements feel perfectly at home in the menacing, medieval world of The Witcher.
